Reflecting on the Ripples of 9/11

I traveled for the first time alone with my son in the airport a few days ago.

It happened to be the twentieth anniversary of 9/11. As we got settled at the gate, a male voice blared throughout the airport, reminding us. A moment of silence descended. Heads bowed. Some whispered.
